Best E-commerce Platform in Algeria 2026: DZBuild vs Shopify & More
What is the best e-commerce platform in Algeria in 2026? DZBuild, Shopify, WooCommerce and YouCan compared on pricing in dinars, commission, cash on delivery and courier integrations, from official pages read on 3 November 2026.

The best e-commerce platform in Algeria is the one that handles cash on delivery (COD) without workarounds, sends orders straight to your courier and bills you in Algerian dinars (DZD). On those criteria, our editorial team ranks DZBuild first for merchants selling in Algeria in 2026. Shopify, WooCommerce and YouCan can all work, but they need more add-ons, more maintenance or a subscription priced in US dollars.
This comparison uses each platform's official pages, read on 3 November 2026; check prices again before you commit. It is written for anyone selling to Algerian buyers, from local merchants to diaspora brands, international sellers and analysts following Algerian e-commerce platforms. If you are starting from zero, begin with our guide on how to start an online store in Algeria.
At a glance
- DZBuild: our editors' pick. Subscription in dinars from 1,000 DZD a month, no commission according to the company, COD on every store, and direct links to Yalidine, ZR Express and the couriers on the Ecotrack network.
- Shopify: complete, but priced in US dollars, without Shopify Payments in Algeria, and local integrations come through apps.
- WooCommerce: free core plugin with COD, but hosting, updates and courier connectors are on you.
- YouCan: free sign-up, then from $29 a month or pay-as-you-go; its pricing page does not mention Algeria.
How we compared: the criteria for a COD store
The editorial team used six criteria you can check yourself, all built around how Algerian customers pay and receive parcels:
- A subscription you can pay in dinars, by CIB (the Algerian interbank card), Edahabia (the Algérie Poste card) or BaridiMob (Algérie Poste's mobile banking app), rather than in foreign currency.
- Commission on sales: a percentage the platform takes on top of the subscription.
- Cash on delivery built into checkout, with no paid extension.
- Direct courier integration: sending orders, rates per wilaya (province), stop desks (carrier pickup points) and tracking.
- A storefront in Arabic and French.
- CIB or Edahabia card payments for customers who prefer to pay online.
Note that no platform collects the COD cash itself: the courier does, and pays you on its own terms. Yalidine and ZR Express both cap COD at 150,000 DZD per parcel, according to Yalidine's general transport conditions and ZR Express's COD page. To pick the courier itself, see our comparison of shipping companies in Algeria.
DZBuild: our pick for the best e-commerce platform in Algeria
DZBuild is an Algerian online store builder sold as SaaS: you open a store in Arabic or French, with cash on delivery from day one. It is our pick because it meets all six criteria above.
Pricing and subscription (page read on 3 November 2026)
According to DZBuild's pricing page:
- Pro: 1,000 DZD a month, 300 active products, 3 landing pages, 1 staff account.
- Unlimited: 2,500 DZD a month, unlimited products and landing pages, 3 staff accounts.
- Enterprise: from 5,500 DZD a month with 25 staff, or 15,000 DZD a month with unlimited staff.
- 12-month commitment: 10,000 DZD instead of 12,000 for Pro, and 25,000 DZD instead of 30,000 for Unlimited.
The company says it takes no commission and no per-order fee, and no paid plan caps the number of orders. You pay the subscription in dinars by CIB or Edahabia card, by BaridiMob receipt, or by international card in US dollars, an option that matters if you run the store from abroad. Every new store starts with a 3-day Pro trial, with no card required. The Free plan is closed to new accounts: it remains only on stores that already had it.
Delivery, COD and card payments
- COD on every store, with a home-delivery price and a stop-desk price per wilaya, or your negotiated rates synced from your courier account.
- Linked couriers, according to the documentation: Yalidine, ZR Express, Noest, Maystro, Zimou Express and Elogistia, among others, plus 82 couriers on the Ecotrack network, each with its own tile. The company claims support for more than 102 delivery companies.
- Bulk sending to the courier in batches of 50; tracking status refreshes every 2 to 3 hours.
- Card payments by CIB or Edahabia through your own Chargily Pay or Slick-Pay account. Companies registered outside Algeria can also take Visa or Mastercard through their own Stripe account. The money lands in your gateway account, not with DZBuild.
- Management tools: a Spam tab for suspicious orders, Google Sheets export, Meta, TikTok, Snapchat and Pinterest pixels with server-side conversions, two-way sync with Ecomanager.
Good to know
- Store and dashboard in Arabic or French, built for Algerian buyers, with documentation in English too.
- The REST API and MCP server come with the Enterprise plan, for teams that automate.
- Pay your subscription in dinars by CIB, Edahabia or BaridiMob, or by international card with a 14-day refund.
- Link your own courier accounts and apply your own negotiated rates, with no DZBuild fee per order.

Shopify in Algeria: what works and what you must add
Searches for a Shopify alternative in Algeria come down to three points, checked on Shopify's official pages on 3 November 2026:
- Prices in dollars: the pricing page lists the Basic plan at 29 USD a month billed yearly (39 USD billed monthly), with a 3-day free trial, then $1 a month for 3 months.
- No Shopify Payments: Algeria is not on the list of supported countries. With a third-party provider, Shopify charges transaction fees of 2% on Basic, 1% on Grow, 0.6% on Advanced and 0.2% on Plus.
- COD works as a manual payment: Shopify classes cash on delivery among manual payment methods, which carry no third-party transaction fees.
Local integrations come through apps: Ecotrack and Ecomanager each publish a free app on the Shopify App Store, Chargily publishes a Shopify plugin for Chargily Pay on GitHub, and ZR Express says it offers a Shopify plugin (API and plugins page). Editorial view: solid if you also sell outside Algeria, as many diaspora brands do, but more expensive and slower to set up for a store that runs almost entirely on COD.
WooCommerce and self-hosted stores: freedom versus maintenance
The core WooCommerce plugin is free and includes cash on delivery: according to the official documentation, you turn it on under WooCommerce > Settings > Payments, in the offline payments section. This is the standard route for WooCommerce cash on delivery in Algeria.
For local cards, Chargily publishes a WooCommerce plugin for Chargily Pay V2 (distributed through GitHub), and Slick-Pay has an official plugin on WordPress.org. Ecomanager also connects to WooCommerce.
The trade-off: hosting, domain, backups, updates and security are on you, and so are courier connectors, often third-party plugins to assess one by one. Before choosing this route, ask yourself:
- Who will update WordPress and the plugins every month?
- Does your courier have a maintained plugin, or will you enter parcels by hand?
- What happens if the site goes down mid-campaign?
YouCan and other store builders: what to check
YouCan comes up often in Algerian sellers' searches, so DZBuild vs YouCan is a fair question. YouCan's pricing page, read on 3 November 2026, says sign-up is free. You then choose either a subscription starting at $29 a month, which takes no fees from your sales according to its FAQ, or pay-as-you-go: 0.5% on COD sales and 1% on online payments for the first $5,000 in sales, then 0.25% and 0.5%. The page mentions neither Algeria nor any Algerian courier; ZR Express, for its part, says it offers a YouCan plugin.
For any Algerian or foreign platform, check these points before you sign up:
- The subscription currency, accepted payment methods and any commission on sales.
- The exact list of couriers connected by API, not just a "compatible" label.
- Sync of stop desks and per-wilaya rates.
- Fake-order filtering and an order confirmation tool, both essential to reduce your COD return rate.
- The trial length and how you recover your data if you leave.

According to its website, Slick-Pay charges 1.4% to 2% depending on how often you withdraw. Details are in our guide to accepting online payments in Algeria.
