BaridiMob Merchant Payment Algeria: Baridi Pay QR Guide 2026
BaridiMob merchant payment in Algeria: Baridi Pay QR code rules, the commercial CCP account, transfer fees of 12 to 24 DA, 2026 limits, and how to check that a payment really arrived before you ship.

For a BaridiMob merchant payment in Algeria, Algérie Poste, the state-owned postal operator, offers two routes: a CCP-to-CCP transfer in the BaridiMob app, and Baridi Pay, the QR-code payment built into the same app and officially launched on 14 June 2025. Either way, the money lands in a CCP account.
In a physical shop, Baridi Pay is the most direct option: the customer scans your QR code with BaridiMob and confirms with a code received by SMS. For an online store, BaridiMob is still a manual transfer: our editorial team found no public API and no e-commerce plug-in (checked 3 November 2026), so every payment must be checked by hand before shipping.
Figures come from the official Algérie Poste FAQ (read 3 November 2026) or dated press reports. Amounts are in Algerian dinars (DA, or DZD).
Local terms: a CCP (compte chèque postal) is the current account held at Algérie Poste; Edahabia is the Algérie Poste debit card linked to it; COD means cash on delivery; a TPE is a card payment terminal.
At a glance
- BaridiMob membership: 50 DA, then 50 DA a month.
- BaridiMob transfer: 12 to 24 DA depending on the amount, with a daily limit of 1,000 DA minimum and 200,000 DA maximum.
- Baridi Pay QR: 100 DA minimum per payment since August 2025, and up to 500,000 DA per day according to Algerie360 (26 October 2026).
- Merchant side: a commercial CCP account, an active mobile number and an enrolment procedure with Algérie Poste.
- To accept CIB and Edahabia cards on a website, you need a gateway such as Chargily Pay or Slick-Pay.
BaridiMob merchant payment in Algeria: what BaridiMob and Baridi Pay do
BaridiMob is Algérie Poste's official mobile app, available on Google Play and the App Store. With a CCP account and an Edahabia card, users check their balance in real time, transfer money to other CCP accounts holding an Edahabia card, pay bills and top up phones. On Google Play the app shows more than 10 million downloads (read on 3 November 2026).
Baridi Pay is the QR-code payment feature inside BaridiMob, officially launched on Saturday 14 June 2025. An earlier QR service called "Barid Pay" had been announced in August 2020; the 2025 launch is its relaunch on a larger scale. Spellings vary (Baridi Pay, BaridPay); Algérie Poste's website writes "BaridiPay".
The rollout began with pharmacies and small neighbourhood shops, with a gradual nationwide extension announced. More in our BaridiMob company profile.
CCP transfer or Baridi Pay QR code: how the merchant gets paid
The CCP-to-CCP transfer
The customer sends money from their CCP account to yours in BaridiMob. You must hold an Edahabia card, and the Algérie Poste FAQ says you can withdraw the money the same day. This suits remote orders, deposits and repeat customers.
The Baridi Pay QR code for merchants
The customer scans your QR code with BaridiMob, then confirms the payment with a code sent by SMS. According to Algérie Eco, there are two kinds of Baridi Pay QR code:
- Static QR code with a fixed amount: you set the price in advance, handy for a single-price item.
- Open-amount QR code: the customer types in the sum, better for a counter where every basket differs.
To pay, the customer needs a CCP account linked to an Edahabia card and a phone number registered with Algérie Poste. A shopper without a CCP account, such as a visitor carrying only a foreign bank card, cannot pay this way.
What about the Edahabia card on a payment terminal?
With a card terminal, the Algérie Poste FAQ says card payment is free for the cardholder; the merchant pays a commission of up to 1.50% of the amount, per the fee schedule. The mobile TPE is free but carries a subscription of 800 DA excluding VAT per month (300 DA management fee, 300 DA connectivity, 200 DA Algérie Poste membership). Since 7 February 2026, Algérie Poste has also offered CCP Business Cashless, aimed at companies, professionals, liberal professions and start-ups.
Algérie Poste merchant account: requirements and enrolment
According to Algérie Eco (August 2025), a merchant who accepts BaridPay must have a commercial CCP account with Algérie Poste, the CCP business account many sellers search for, and an active mobile number for notifications, plus an enrolment procedure. The Algérie Poste pages we read describe neither the steps nor any commission on QR payments, so ask your post office.
Starter checklist:
- Open or check your commercial CCP account: do not collect sales on a personal CCP.
- Link an active mobile number to it, and keep that phone with you during opening hours.
- At enrolment, ask in writing for the QR code type, any fees and the activation time.
- Install BaridiMob only from Google Play or the App Store (publisher: Algérie Poste). Registration needs a number registered with Algérie Poste, the Edahabia card number and expiry date, and an SMS code.
- Turn on SMS notifications on Algérie Poste's ECCP portal, which offers an SMS for every deposit, transfer or withdrawal.
- Display the QR code at the till and make a first test payment of 100 DA, the minimum.
BaridiMob fees and limits in 2026
Figures read on 3 November 2026 in the official FAQ on poste.dz, unless stated otherwise:
- BaridiMob membership: 50 DA.
- Monthly subscription: 50 DA.
- Account-to-account transfer: 12 DA up to 10,000 DA; 15 DA from 10,001 to 20,000 DA; 18 DA from 20,001 to 30,000 DA; 21 DA from 30,001 to 40,000 DA; 24 DA from 40,001 DA. Example: a 15,000 DA transfer costs 15 DA.
- Daily transfer limit: 1,000 DA minimum, 200,000 DA maximum.
- Baridi Pay QR: 100 DA minimum per payment (Algérie Eco, 25 August 2025) and up to 500,000 DA per day (Algerie360, 26 October 2026). This cap comes from the press, not from an Algérie Poste page.
- Edahabia card: 350 DA for issue, renewal or replacement.
With a 200,000 DA daily transfer cap, a large order may need another payment method or several days.
BaridiMob online store payments: what works and the limits
Running a BaridiMob online store works, but by hand: you give the customer your account number, they transfer, you check it arrived, then you ship. That holds for a few orders a day; beyond that, manual checking eats time and invites fake receipts.
Keep BaridiMob transfers for deposits on made-to-order items or loyal customers. For the rest, two automated gateways exist, covered in our guide to accepting online payments in Algeria:
- Chargily Pay accepts CIB and Edahabia cards. Prices read on 3 November 2026 on its pricing page: a free Starter plan for 300 transactions or 300,000 DZD of volume, then Comfort at 1.5% (minimum 15 DZD, maximum 1,500 DZD), Supreme at 3% and Elite at 4.5%. The pricier plans buy more free payouts and faster balance release; there is no subscription or activation fee, according to the company. Chargily must verify your account before you take real payments.
- Slick-Pay accepts CIB and Edahabia cards, from 1.4% per transaction (monthly payout) to 2% (instant payout once SATIM confirms), read on 3 November 2026 on slick-pay.com. Its terms require a commercial register entry, a business account and an authorisation request to SATIM and GIE Monétique.
Direct CIB access goes through the GIE Monétique CIBweb portal: commercial register and CNRC e-supplier file entries, SATIM tests, then a bank contract, at unpublished bank-set fees.
Why DZBuild is our first choice
For an Algerian online store, the editorial team ranks DZBuild first, an assessment based on criteria checked on its pages on 3 November 2026:
- Cash on delivery is built into every store, and you can connect your own Chargily Pay or Slick-Pay account free on every plan; card money goes to your gateway account, not to DZBuild.
- No commission on sales: Pro at 1,000 DZD a month, Unlimited at 2,500 DZD, Enterprise from 5,500 DZD (pricing), with a 3-day Pro trial and no card required.
- Store and dashboard in Arabic and French (English only on the documentation site), and more than 102 delivery companies supported, according to the company.
- The subscription itself can be paid by BaridiMob receipt (reviewed manually), CIB or Edahabia card, or international card in USD. Local-method payments are final; international card payments are refundable within 14 days under its terms.
DZBuild offer: use the code WELCOME15 to get 15% off your first payment.
More in our DZBuild profile. For a shop taking Baridi Pay, the free DZBuild POS software records sales and stock offline on Windows.
For sellers and analysts outside Algeria
BaridiMob and Baridi Pay payments land in a CCP account, and only payers with a CCP account and an Edahabia card can use them. Chargily Pay checkouts are in DZD only, and Visa and Mastercard are announced as coming soon, not live. On DZBuild, buyers' Visa and Mastercard payments go through the merchant's own Stripe account, an option reserved for companies registered outside Algeria.
For scale, Algeria's Finance Minister said in May 2026 that nearly 18 million Edahabia cards were in circulation at the end of March 2026, out of more than 22 million payment cards. Sources disagree on BaridiMob usage, so we quote no user count.
Checking that a payment really arrived before you ship
A receipt screenshot proves nothing; only the transaction on your account counts. Before shipping:
- Turn on the ECCP SMS notification for every deposit and transfer.
- Open BaridiMob and check the balance, which is shown in real time.
- Match the exact amount to the order: customer name, time and expected sum.
- Never ship on the strength of an image sent over WhatsApp or Messenger.
- Have a fallback: BaridiMob is rated 3.4 on Google Play (about 97,700 reviews) and 2.4 on the App Store (read 3 November 2026), and reviews report outages and login problems. If the app is down, wait for the SMS rather than shipping blind.
If your customers prefer cash on delivery, our guide to reducing COD returns helps cut refused parcels.
Next steps
In a shop, start with the commercial CCP account and Baridi Pay enrolment, in our view the simplest cashless option at Algérie Poste. Online, keep BaridiMob transfers for deposits and add a CIB and Edahabia gateway as volume grows. No website yet?
