ZR Express Algeria: Rates, Stop Desks, COD and Procolis Explained
ZR Express Algeria guide: no public rate card, only a calculator and per-merchant rates. Stop desks hold parcels free for 7 days, COD up to 150,000 DZD, how Procolis differs and how to connect your store.

ZR Express is an Algerian parcel carrier offering home delivery, stop-desk pickup and cash on delivery to online sellers. The short answer on ZR Express prices: there is no public rate card. The official Tarifs page is marked as updated in April 2026 but only offers a calculator (page read on 3 November 2026), and the API documentation states that merchant-specific prices take precedence over the general price list. Your price depends on your account, the destination wilaya (province), the weight and the mode: home or stop desk (a carrier pickup point).
ZR Express (SARL ZR Express Logistique) says it was created in 2022 and is headquartered in Rouiba, Algiers. It delivers to homes and stop desks, collects COD (cash on delivery) and offers a merchant API. Many sellers also know its legacy platform, Procolis, hence the frequent mix-up.
Key points
- No public price grid: a calculator from 0.5 to 30 kg (5 kg included) and rates set per merchant account.
- Stop desk: parcels held free for 7 days, SMS pickup code, offices open 8:00 to 20:00, 7 days a week, according to the company.
- COD: up to 150,000 DZD (Algerian dinars) per parcel, with no commission on collection according to ZR Express. Payout is D+2 on the merchant page but "depends on the destination" on the COD page.
- Procolis is the legacy platform (Token + Key). Only the new one (api.zrexpress.app) provides a named stop-desk list.
- Connection: no code with DZBuild, or via the free DZShip API, which handles both platforms.
ZR Express in Algeria at a glance: company, coverage claims and network
Per its website, SARL ZR Express Logistique was created in 2022, with a head office in Rouiba (Algiers). The site exists in French, Arabic and English.
Coverage figures vary across the official site. Read them as company claims:
- Wilayas: 54 wilayas and 1,541 communes (municipalities) in the homepage text, but 48 or 58 wilayas elsewhere on the site.
- Service points: the offices page lists 80 active points (40 sorting centres and 40 pickup/drop-off offices), while the stop-desk page claims 77 stop-desk offices.
- Volumes: the homepage claims both 2.5 million+ parcels a year and 4.8 million+ parcels delivered in 2026, plus 15,000 merchants.
ZR Express also lists fulfillment (a warehouse of more than 10,000 m², per the company), returns management, a Swap service and B2B mail.
The wilayas, communes and offices you can ship to come from your own ZR account, not a fixed public list. Check it before opening a wilaya at checkout.
ZR Express prices: how the calculator and merchant rates work
On the Tarifs page you pick the origin and destination wilaya, a weight between 0.5 and 30 kg ("5 kg inclus") and home or stop-desk delivery. On 3 November 2026 it returned no price for the routes we tested (e.g. Algiers to Oran), so we publish no DZD figure.
Third-party price ranges are only estimates. Two official points matter more:
- The merchant page advertises no registration fee and preferential rates from 50 parcels a month.
- The API docs say supplier-specific (merchant) prices override the general price list, so two stores can pay different prices on one route.
Signing up as a merchant: what to ask for
- Open your account from the merchant page (sign-up advertised as free).
- Ask for your rate card in writing, wilaya by wilaya, for home delivery and stop desk.
- Ask what happens above 5 kg and which fees apply to returns. Neither appears on the site.
- Choose your COD payout mode (daily withdrawal, early request or fixed dates).
- If you connect a store or software, generate your API key from the merchant portal.
The site lists the ZR Marchand app (iOS and Android). On Google Play, "ZR EXPRESS SUPPLIER" shows 10K+ downloads (updated 2 November 2026) under the publisher FULFILLPRO SL; the App Store shows Milana consult. Install it from the official site's links.
Stop desk, home delivery and COD rules
Stop desk
Per the stop-desk page, offices open 8:00 to 20:00, 7 days a week. Parcels are held free for 7 days, and the recipient gets a pickup code by SMS on arrival. Call the customer before it ends.
On legacy Procolis, the customer picks a generic commune-level option and ZR Express assigns the office at dispatch. Compare both modes in our guide on stop desk vs home delivery.
Home delivery
ZR Express says the courier calls first and offers a delivery slot. It also advertises 24-hour delivery, 7 days a week, Fridays included: a sales promise to check on your own shipments.
Cash on delivery (COD)
- Cap: up to 150,000 DZD per delivered parcel, per the COD page.
- Commission: ZR Express says it takes none on collection and pays out 100% of the amount.
- Payout: in cash, with a delay that depends on the parcels' destination, per the COD page. The merchant page advertises D+2 ("J+2").
- Modes: daily withdrawal, early request or fixed dates.
Returns and Swap
Once a parcel is classed as a return, ZR Express says you can collect it within 24 to 72 hours. Swap redirects a cancelled parcel to a new destination in one click. To cut returns upstream, see how to reduce your COD return rate.
Procolis vs the new ZR platform: what changed for merchants
Procolis is not a separate carrier for ZR Express customers: procolis.com opens on an admin panel and calls itself an application for Algerian home-delivery companies. It is ZR Express's legacy platform and legacy API; the new platform runs on api.zrexpress.app.
- Credentials: on Procolis, a Token and a Key from the API settings of the old dashboard. On the new platform, a secret API key generated from the portal.
- Stop desks: only the new platform provides a named list of offices. Procolis publishes none.
- Product descriptions: 100 characters maximum on the new platform, 250 on Procolis.
- Common Procolis API errors: "Clé non détectée S1" means a wrong Token, "Clé non détectée S2" a wrong Key, and "Token désactivé" a disabled account.
Abex Express, Leopard Express, Colilog Express and Flash Delivery use the same Procolis API structure with their own Token + Key, which do not work on a ZR Express account. See also our profiles of ZR Express and Procolis.
Connecting ZR Express to your store or app
ZR Express API
ZR Express advertises a REST API, real-time webhooks and official SDKs for Shopify, WooCommerce, YouCan and PrestaShop. The official documentation describes the "Suppliers Services API" (products, orders, clients, claims, treasury), authenticated with a secret key from the merchant portal. It can generate labels for up to 250 parcels in one HTML file.
ZR Express tracking
Customers track a parcel with its ZR code on the English tracking page. According to the company, status updates every 10 minutes, with SMS and email notifications at each step.
DZBuild: the editorial team's pick
For merchants who do not code, DZBuild is our editorial team's first recommendation. Criteria: a documented ZR Express integration on both platforms, built-in COD, an Arabic and French dashboard and public prices in dinars. According to its ZR Express documentation:
- a single ZR Express tile tries the new platform first, then falls back to the Procolis Token + Key;
- home and stop-desk rates per wilaya sync from your ZR account;
- the tracking number is saved on the order and shown to the customer, and status refreshes every 2 to 3 hours;
- the COD amount sent is the order total (products plus shipping);
- orders go out in batches of 50.
DZBuild says it supports 102+ delivery companies. Its prices (pricing page, read on 3 November 2026) are 1,000 DZD a month for Pro, 2,500 DZD for Unlimited and from 5,500 DZD for Enterprise, after a 3-day Pro trial with no card. The company says it takes no commission on sales. Subscriptions can also be paid by international card in USD; stores and dashboard are in Arabic and French (English only in the docs). To start, follow our tutorial to create a store on DZBuild.

DZShip for developers
DZShip is a free shipping API run by DZBuild: no sign-up, no API key, no per-parcel fee (your carrier bills you as usual). It supports ZR Express on both platforms: Procolis with token + key, and the new platform with apiKey + tenantId. Stop-desk list requests on Procolis return a 422 NOT_SUPPORTED error. Call it server-side, never from the browser, within fair-use limits (200 orders per hour per IP). ZR Express still handles COD payouts. Details in our free shipping API guide.
Our assessment: strengths and points to check
This is the editorial team's assessment, based on published company and integrator documentation, not a delivery test.
Strengths
- Clear, specific stop-desk rules (7 free days, SMS code, opening hours).
- COD cap, payout modes and no-commission policy stated in writing.
- Public API documentation and integrations on both platforms.
- Useful COD extras: Swap, returns within 24 to 72 hours, fulfillment.
Points to check
- No public prices: everything depends on your negotiation.
- Contradictory figures on the site (48, 54 or 58 wilayas; 77 or 80 points; 2.5 or 4.8 million parcels).
- Payout timing: D+2 on one page, "depends on the destination" on another.
- With Procolis, customers cannot pick a named office.
ZR Express vs Yalidine on paper
From what each company publishes (read on 3 November 2026):
- Prices: neither has a public rate card. Yalidine's transport conditions (August 2026) base prices on origin, destination and actual or volumetric weight; ZR Express sets rates per merchant.
- COD cap: 150,000 DZD per parcel at both.
- Coverage claims: Yalidine says 55 wilayas; ZR Express's site says 48, 54 or 58.
- Stop desks: Yalidine publishes an agency list; ZR Express gives a named list only through the new platform and your account.
No winner on paper: compare price per wilaya, payout timing, stop desks in your cities and return rates on real shipments. Our Yalidine guide covers its side.
Next steps
- Get your rate card in writing and test about ten shipments to your main wilayas.
- Move to the new platform if you want to offer named stop desks.
- Connect ZR Express and keep a second carrier as backup.

Frequently asked questions
- Is ZR Express the same as Procolis?
- Not exactly. Procolis (procolis.com) is the legacy platform and legacy API of ZR Express, with Token + Key credentials. The new platform runs on api.zrexpress.app, and only it provides a named list of stop desks. Other carriers, such as Abex Express, also use the Procolis API structure with their own credentials.
- How much does ZR Express charge per wilaya?
- ZR Express does not publish a rate card. Its Tarifs page (updated April 2026, read on 3 November 2026) only offers a calculator from 0.5 to 30 kg, with 5 kg included, and the API documentation says merchant-specific prices take precedence. Ask for your rate card in writing, wilaya (province) by wilaya, for home delivery and stop desk.
- How long does ZR Express keep a parcel at the stop desk?
- According to ZR Express, a parcel is held free for 7 days at the stop desk (the carrier pickup point), and the recipient receives a pickup code by SMS when it arrives. Offices are advertised as open from 8:00 to 20:00, 7 days a week. Remind the customer before the deadline to limit returns.
- How do I connect ZR Express to my online store?
- Without coding, a platform such as DZBuild offers a ZR Express tile that tries the new platform first, then Procolis, and syncs your rates per wilaya. For a custom site, use the ZR Express API with the key generated from the merchant portal, or the free DZShip API, which handles both platforms.
- ZR Express or Yalidine: which is better for e-commerce?
- It depends on your destinations and negotiated rates. Neither publishes a public rate card, and both cap cash on delivery at 150,000 DZD per parcel. Compare the price per wilaya, COD payout timing, stop desks in your cities and your return rate on real shipments. Many merchants keep two carriers connected as a fallback.
