# Accept Online Payment in Algeria: CIB, Edahabia and Gateways 2026

> How to accept online payment in Algeria in 2026: CIB and Edahabia cards through CIBweb and your bank or through Chargily Pay and Slick-Pay, or BaridiMob transfers and QR, with fees, documents and steps.

By [Rédaction DZ Ecommerce](https://dzecommerce.com/en/authors/redaction) · Published 2026-11-03 · Updated 2026-11-04

Whether you are a diaspora founder, an international seller or an analyst, if you want to **accept online payment in Algeria** in 2026 there are three practical routes: integrate the national interbank e-payment system directly through your bank (the CIBweb portal run by GIE Monétique, with technical certification by SATIM), sign up with a **payment gateway in Algeria** such as Chargily Pay or Slick-Pay, or collect money through Algérie Poste's BaridiMob app and its Baridi Pay QR code. The first two routes let a website take **CIB and Edahabia cards**: CIB is the interbank card issued by Algerian banks, and Edahabia is the Algérie Poste card attached to a CCP (postal current account). The third route runs on the customer's CCP account.

The market is growing quickly. According to GIE Monétique data reported by Radio Algérie, Algeria had 1,004 web merchants at the end of June 2026, up from 644 a year earlier (+55%). The Finance Minister cited more than 22 million payment cards in circulation at the end of March 2026, nearly 18 million of them Edahabia cards.

Cards are added on top of cash on delivery (COD), not instead of it. Local platforms such as DZBuild build COD checkout into every store. All fees quoted below were read on the official pages on 3 November 2026.

Key points:

- **Route 1, direct CIBweb integration**: register entry, CNRC e-supplier listing, acquiring-bank contract, SATIM tests. Fees depend on your bank.
- **Route 2, a gateway**: Chargily Pay (free allowance, then 1.5% to 4.5% per transaction) or Slick-Pay (2% down to 1.4% depending on how often you are paid out).
- **Route 3, BaridiMob**: CCP transfer or Baridi Pay QR, with no e-commerce plugin identified.
- **Visa and Mastercard**: announced but not yet available at Chargily; the CIB card is for domestic use only.
- **No-code option**: a DZBuild store connects your own Chargily Pay or Slick-Pay account, alongside COD.

## How CIB Edahabia e-commerce payments work: SATIM and GIE Monétique

Two bodies oversee online card payment:

- **GIE Monétique**, created in June 2014, regulates the interbank card system and authorises merchant websites through its [CIBweb](https://cibweb.dz/fr/) portal.
- **SATIM**, created in 1995 and owned by seven banks (BADR, BDL, BEA, BNA, CPA, CNEP, Al Baraka) and the insurer CNMA, runs the platform and carries out the technical certification of websites.

Online payment by CIB card has officially worked since October 2016, at first only for large billers. SATIM says it was opened to all entrepreneurs after the November 2018 e-commerce law, subject to an authorisation from GIE Monétique. Since 23 December 2021, interoperability with Algérie Poste has also allowed shoppers to pay online with an **Edahabia** card.

On the customer side, payment goes through **3D Secure**. The cardholder enters a **6-digit e-payment password**, separate from the 4-digit PIN and delivered in a sealed letter or by SMS. Mention it on your payment page: without it, the payment fails.

In the first half of 2026, internet payments reached 15,431,994 transactions (+52%), worth almost 346 billion dinars, according to the same Radio Algérie report.

## Route 1: SATIM integration through CIBweb and your bank

Here you become an **e-payment web merchant in Algeria** in your own name, under a contract with your bank.

### The four-step SATIM integration process

1. **Apply online** on the CIBweb portal.
2. **Admissibility decision** from GIE Monétique within 24 hours.
3. **Integration tests** and technical certification carried out by SATIM.
4. **Operating authorisation** issued by GIE Monétique once SATIM has validated the tests.

According to the [CIBweb FAQ](https://cibweb.dz/fr/foire-aux-questions), a web merchant must be listed in the trade register (or the crafts register) and in the national **e-supplier file** ("fichier des e-fournisseurs") held by the CNRC, the national trade register centre. To go live, the merchant signs a contract with its acquiring bank.

### Certified modules and the CIB plugin for WooCommerce

GIE Monétique's [list of authorised modules](https://cibweb.dz/fr/modules-autorise) includes a free **CIB payment plugin for WooCommerce** (Web Rocket), a PrestaShop integration (EURL EBLINK) and third-party solutions such as Guiddini's "Satim-gateway", ADEXEPAY and 3SPAY. Using a module that is not on the list means a longer, eight-step procedure.

### Pitfalls to know about

- **No public fee schedule**: neither CIBweb nor SATIM publishes a merchant commission. Ask your bank for its conditions in writing.
- **The authorisation must be renewed**: it is granted for a fixed period, and the renewal request must be filed at least 45 days before it expires.
- **Suspension is possible**: an expired SSL certificate, a badly displayed CIB logo, or prohibited goods (gambling, alcohol and tobacco, pharmaceuticals).

Editorial team's assessment: this route suits companies with a custom website, a developer and enough volume to negotiate with their bank.

## Route 2: a payment gateway in Algeria, Chargily Pay or Slick-Pay

A gateway provides the payment page, plugins and dashboard, then pays you out:

- [**Chargily Pay**](/en/companies/chargily-pay)
- Cards: CIB and Edahabia; Visa and Mastercard announced as "coming soon".
- Fees ([pricing page](https://chargily.com/business/pay/pricing), read on 3 November 2026): a free **Starter** plan for every new client, covering up to 300 transactions or 300,000 DZD of volume; then **Comfort** at 1.5% (min 15 DZD, max 1,500 DZD, 1 free payout a month, balance held 72 hours), **Supreme** at 3% (min 30 DZD, max 3,000 DZD, 2 payouts, 48 hours) and **Elite** at 4.5% (min 45 DZD, max 4,500 DZD, 4 payouts, 24 hours).
- Other fees: extra withdrawal 1.5% (min 150 DZD), refund 2% (min 20 DZD, max 2,000 DZD). No subscription or activation fee, according to the company.
- Integrations: REST API V2 with a test mode, payment links, QR codes, a checkout page in Arabic, French or English, a WooCommerce V2 plugin on GitHub and several SDKs. Checkout is in dinars only.
- [**Slick-Pay**](/en/companies/slick-pay)
- Cards: CIB and Edahabia; at checkout the customer is redirected to the SATIM platform.
- Fees ([slick-pay.com](https://slick-pay.com), read on 3 November 2026): 2% for instant payout, 1.9% daily, 1.6% weekly, 1.5% every other Sunday, 1.4% monthly; custom pricing on the Enterprise offer.
- Requirements: a commercial register, a business bank account and an online-payment authorisation request to SATIM and GIE Monétique.
- Integrations: payment links (Slick Link), invoices for selling without a website, an API with a free sandbox, a WooCommerce plugin on WordPress.org and a Laravel package.

### Chargily Pay: the editorial team's assessment

Verifiable strengths: public documentation, a test mode, many SDKs, and a choice of who pays the fee (you, the customer, or a split). Points to watch: the percentage **goes up** with the plan, in exchange for more free payouts and faster access to your balance, and the developer documentation still advertises 0% for the first month, which differs from the pricing page. The account and the application must be verified by the Chargily team before you can take real payments. The old WordPress.org plugin (V1) was closed in February 2024: install V2 from GitHub.

### Worked example on a 10,000 DZD order

- Chargily Pay Comfort: 150 DZD; Elite: 450 DZD (once the Starter allowance is used up).
- Slick-Pay instant payout: 200 DZD; monthly payout: 140 DZD.

## Route 3: BaridiMob transfers and Baridi Pay QR

BaridiMob, Algérie Poste's app, is mostly used for transfers between CCP accounts: 12 to 24 DZD in fees depending on the amount, with a limit of 1,000 to 200,000 DZD per day. A seller can ask for the transfer receipt before shipping, which is how DZBuild handles BaridiMob payments for its own subscriptions (receipts are reviewed manually).

Officially relaunched on 14 June 2025, **Baridi Pay** lets customers pay a merchant by scanning a QR code in BaridiMob, with confirmation by SMS code. The merchant must complete an enrolment procedure and hold a **commercial CCP** account and an active mobile number. The QR code can carry a fixed or an open amount; the minimum is 100 DZD and the press reports a cap of 500,000 DZD per day.

Limits: no public API or e-commerce plugin has been identified, and the app is rated 3.4 on Google Play and 2.4 on the App Store (read on 3 November 2026), with reviews reporting outages. More detail in our [BaridiMob merchant payment guide](/en/payments/baridimob-merchant-payment-algeria-baridi-pay).

## Requirements checklist: register, CNRC file, bank account, website

1. **Commercial or crafts register** entry, up to date.
2. **Listing in the CNRC e-supplier file**, required to become a web merchant.
3. **Business bank account**, or a commercial CCP for Baridi Pay.
4. **HTTPS website** with a valid SSL certificate and the CIB logo displayed correctly.
5. **Compliant catalogue**, with no gambling, alcohol, tobacco or pharmaceuticals.
6. **Testing in test mode or a sandbox** before going live.
7. **Calendar reminder**: note the authorisation's expiry date and start the renewal at least 45 days before.

For diaspora founders: the CIBweb route and Slick-Pay require an Algerian register entry and a business bank account, Baridi Pay a commercial CCP, and Chargily Pay does not publish its verification requirements; in every case you are taking Algerian cards: the CIB card is for domestic use only, and Chargily's checkout is in dinars only.

## Adding card payment to your store without writing code

Without a developer, use a platform that already handles the connection. In the editorial team's assessment, [**DZBuild**](/en/companies/dzbuild) is the best first choice for Algerian merchants, for reasons you can check:

- **cash on delivery** is built into every store, and CIB or Edahabia cards are added through **your own** Chargily Pay or Slick-Pay account (one at a time);
- card money lands in your gateway account, never with DZBuild, which says it takes **no commission** on sales;
- more than 102 delivery companies supported, according to the company, including Yalidine and the couriers on the Ecotrack network;
- storefront and dashboard in **Arabic or French**;
- a 3-day Pro trial with no card, then Pro at 1,000 DZD a month, Unlimited at 2,500 DZD and Enterprise from 5,500 DZD ([pricing](https://dzbuild.com/pricing) read on 3 November 2026).

Visa and Mastercard payments through Stripe are reserved for companies registered outside Algeria, which matters if you sell through a company set up abroad. To get started, see our [DZBuild review and pricing](/en/tools/dzbuild-review-pricing-promo-code) or first read our [e-commerce platform comparison](/en/ecommerce/best-e-commerce-platform-in-algeria).

**DZBuild offer:** use the code WELCOME15 to get 15% off your first payment.

## Where to start

1. Keep COD and add cards as an option; work on your [COD return rate](/en/ecommerce/reduce-cod-return-rate-algeria) as well.
2. Gather your register entry, CNRC listing and business account.
3. Without a custom website, open a Chargily Pay or Slick-Pay account and connect it to your store; with a technical team, file your application with [GIE Monétique and SATIM](/en/companies/satim-cib-gie-monetique).
4. Test a small real payment before announcing cards. Starting from scratch? Read [how to start an online store in Algeria](/en/ecommerce/how-to-start-an-online-store-in-algeria).

## FAQ

### How do I accept CIB and Edahabia cards on my website?

There are two options: apply on GIE Monétique's CIBweb portal, pass the SATIM integration tests and sign a contract with your acquiring bank, or open an account with a gateway such as Chargily Pay or Slick-Pay, which provides plugins and payment links. Without a developer, a platform such as DZBuild connects your own gateway account to your store.

### What documents do I need to get SATIM e-payment?

According to the CIBweb FAQ, you must be listed in the trade or crafts register and in the national e-supplier file held by the CNRC, then sign a contract with an acquiring bank. Slick-Pay also asks for a business bank account and an online-payment authorisation request to SATIM and GIE Monétique.

### How much do Chargily Pay and Slick-Pay charge per transaction?

Fees read on 3 November 2026: Chargily Pay gives a free Starter allowance of 300 transactions or 300,000 DZD, then charges 1.5%, 3% or 4.5% with a minimum and maximum per transaction. Slick-Pay charges from 2% (instant payout) down to 1.4% (monthly payout). Check the official pages before signing up, as offers can change.

### Can I accept Visa and Mastercard in Algeria?

Not through the local gateways for now: Chargily Pay lists Visa and Mastercard as "coming soon", and the CIB card is for domestic use only. On DZBuild, Visa and Mastercard payments go through a Stripe account, which is reserved for companies registered outside Algeria.

### Do I still need cash on delivery if I accept cards?

Yes. Card payment is an extra option, not a replacement: local platforms such as DZBuild build cash on delivery into every store. Offer both at checkout and track the share of orders paid by card before deciding anything else.
