GIE Monétique, created in June 2014, regulates the interbank card system and authorises web merchants through its CIBweb portal. SATIM, created in 1995 at the initiative of the banking community, is a subsidiary of seven banks (BADR, BDL, BEA, BNA, CPA, CNEP, Al Baraka) and the insurer CNMA; it runs the platform and handles technical certification. According to GIE Monétique, internet payment by CIB card has been live since October 2016, first for large billers. It has been open to all entrepreneurs since the November 2018 e-commerce law. Interoperability with Algérie Poste, which lets shoppers pay with an Edahabia card, was launched on 23 December 2021. ## Services - Online payment with CIB or Edahabia cards on authorised sites. - CIBweb portal: web-merchant authorisation requests and directories of active merchants and certified modules. - Integration tests and technical certification by SATIM. - 3D Secure authentication: the cardholder enters a 6-digit e-payment password, separate from the 4-digit PIN. ## How to use it The merchant must be listed in the trade (or crafts) register and in the CNRC national "e-fournisseurs" file. It applies on CIBweb, and GIE Monétique rules on admissibility within 24 hours. Once SATIM validates the tests, the merchant receives an operating authorisation and signs a contract with its acquiring bank. Certified modules exist, including a free WooCommerce module (Web Rocket), a PrestaShop integration (EURL EBLINK) and gateways such as Guiddini's Satim-gateway.
