What DZBuild POS does
DZBuild POS is a Windows application for shops in Algeria: till, stock, kridi, suppliers, commercial documents and reports. It is developed by the DZBuild team, which also runs the DZBuild online store platform. The source code is published under GPL-3.0-or-later on GitHub.
Price: 0 DA, with no licence key, subscription, account or time limit, and free updates, according to the official page and the DZBuild guide read on 3 November 2026. The current version on that date is 1.2.0, dated 28 October 2026.
Services
- Till payments: cash, CIB card, Edahabia, BaridiMob, cheque, transfer, kridi and store credit, mixed in any split.
- Kridi: opening balance, credit limit and a numbered receipt for each repayment.
- An invoice cannot be validated while a mention required by décret 05-468 (RC, NIF, NIS) is missing.
- Stamp duty is computed on the cash part of each payment only.
- 60 reports; the G50 helper shows figures box by box but does not file the return.
Requirements and how it works
The app runs on Windows 10 (version 1809 or later) and Windows 11, 32-bit or 64-bit, with installers of about 14 MB (online) or 200 MB (offline). It works with no connection, in Arabic, French and English. Extra tills join a main PC on the shop network with a 6-digit pairing code. Automatic backups keep 14 daily, 8 weekly and 12 monthly copies.
An optional link to a DZBuild store syncs catalogue and stock and brings online orders to the till. DZBuild's API docs say it works on every plan.
Good to know
- Download only from dzbuild.com/pos or the official GitHub releases and check the SHA-256 against SHA256SUMS.txt; Windows SmartScreen may show a notice on first install.
- Stamp duty is calculated on the cash part, following DZBuild's guide; your accountant can confirm the settings.
- 13 of the 25 trade templates are ready, and 12 more, including Pharmacy, are on the way.
- Updates install once the cash drawer is closed with a Z report, so no sale is ever interrupted.
